Dharmen, an Industrial Relations practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience, has supported numerous employers on every aspect of Industrial Relations. He has experience in the end to end management of what can be a delicate relationship between an employer and an employee. He represents only employers and has acted as Counsel for many employers in litigious matters before the Malaysian Courts. He has written numerous articles on Industrial Relations issues at various platforms.
Dharmen has earned a reputation for success in IR disputes because of his distinct ability to process data quickly and distinguish issues in question, thereby producing solutions which are clear and accurate. Dharmen read law at University of Wolverhampton and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001. He commenced legal practice with one of the larger legal firms in Malaysia and set up DSP in 2013.
Sujatha joined Dharmen Sivalingam & Partners in 2014 and became a Partner in 2016. She represents a wide range of clients in all industries. With 10 years of experience in Industrial Relations, she is recognized for her unwavering dedication to providing high-quality legal advice for her clients. It is her desire for her clients to truly understand and genuinely benefit from her service.
Sujatha serves as trusted counsel to employers seeking guidance on employment and industrial relations issues. She not only frequently represents the firm at numerous HR Conventions but has, over the last decade, been invited to train HR practitioners and in-house lawyers. She has actively devised and conducted training workshops, on various aspects of Industrial Relations and employment law matters in Malaysia as part of DSP’s community outreach efforts – one of DSP’s recent workshops was in collaboration with MECA Employers Consulting Agency. She has also presented articles for the Iskanderian newspaper.

Senior Associates
Paval completed her law degree at Multimedia University in 2013. After graduating, she commenced her pupillage in Messrs Seah Balan Ravi & Co. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2014. Prior to joining Mesrrs Dharmen Sivalingam & Partners, Paval has practiced for 3 years in a prominent litigation firm in Kuala Lumpur where she was widely exposed to dispute resolution.
Personable, pragmatic and pro-active, Paval’s work style helps clients meet their business objectives in a timely and straightforward manner.
Paval has experience in diverse areas of practice in civil litigation including Tort, Contract, Insolvency & Bankruptcy, Family Law, Land Law, Probate & Administration of Estate, Debt Recovery, Administrative Law, and Judicial Review. Paval has handled various enforcement and execution matters. She has also handled multiple civil trials and hearings at different levels of court. Since working at the firm, her passion has gradually shifted to Industrial Relations and Employment Law matters.
Now, Paval advises on a wide range of Industrial Relations and Employment Law matters, and nothing gives her greater satisfaction than to see weeks or even months of research and meetings with clients pay off. Paval is also an active contributor to discussions through occasional seminars held by the firm and in collaboration with MECA Employers Consulting Agency Sdn Bhd.

A graduate of the University of Liverpool, Leena joined Dharmen Sivalingam & Partners as a Legal Associate in 2018 following her admission to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate & Solicitor.
Prior to her admission to the High Court of Malaya, she was also admitted as a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln’s Inn in March 2017. She returned to Malaysia and began her legal career by reading in the chambers of Messrs RamRais & Partners where she practiced general litigation, intellectual property and conveyancing.
Leena is known and respected for her down to earth, friendly and pragmatic approach to all aspects of her work. She believes that the price of success is hard work and dedication, hence she ensures to offer the best of herself by committing to offer clients the full range of industrial relations resolution options. She has experience working with local individuals, SMEs, large international companies as well as companies that are based overseas. She is also a regular Employment law mentor and speaker at various events, including events in collaboration with MECA Employers Consulting Agency Sdn Bhd for both their members and network of businesses. With a passion for employment law, she aspires to be an expert in this legal field.
Associates
Vigines Shankar graduated from University Utara Malaysia (UUM) with a Second Upper Class LL.B (Hons) in 2021.
He was an active student participating in various voluntary community works and organised few events during his studies. He was called to the Malaysian Bar and admitted to the roll of Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 4th November 2022 after completing her pupillage in Messrs Karthig Shan at Seremban. During his pupillage, he was exposed to litigation matters, criminal, civil, personal injury claim and was entrusted to assist in preparing written submission including for an appeal case at the Court of Appeal.
He started practicing as a legal associate with Messrs Dharmen Sivalingam in February 2023 and he is actively involved in a wide spectrum of employment and general civil litigation cases.
From his experience, he had developed an interest in civil litigation and employment matters.
Emily read law at Cardiff University and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). She also holds a Master of Laws in Bar Professional Training (LLM) and was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a member of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple in 2021. Not long after, she completed her pupillage at Messrs. Raja, Darryl & Loh, where she was involved in a wide variety of matters including and not limited to the areas of employment law, corporate and commercial matters, and general litigation. Following her admission to the High Court of Malaya as an Advocate & Solicitor in 2022, Emily joined Messrs Dharmen Sivalingam & Partners as a Legal Associate. Her current areas of practice include employment and/or labour law and general litigation.
Muhajir Wazinie bin Morchseinie graduated with a Diploma in Public Administration from the Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2016. He then obtained his Bachelor of Law (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi MARA and commenced his pupillage at Messrs Azra & Associates. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2021.
Prior to joining Messrs Dharmen Sivalingam & Partners, Muhajir has practiced in a prominent litigation firm in Kuala Lumpur where he was widely exposed to civil litigation including Tort, Contractual dispute, Insolvency & Bankruptcy, Debt Recovery and Maritime. During his time there, he was entrusted with advising clients and the panel of the firm with regards to execution proceedings and litigation processes.
Muhajir then joined Messrs Dharmen Sivalingam & Partners as Legal Associate and currently his area of practice are Industrial Relations, Employment & General civil litigation.
He enjoys playing sports, hiking & fishing in his pastime. He also a martial art instructor and partook various competitions.
